Vaporizers & smog issues

Has anybody with a vaporizer in CA had a problem getting smoged? I have a MPG unit and have been turned down twice because of it. Called the manufacturer and AJ said they didn't get a BAR exemption number/sticker. So I have an appt with the referee. Anybody else in the same boat or similar issues?

I took off the vaporizer and he smoged me. The law says if the engine is rebuilt, it must be stock on the rebuild, nothing different with pistons, valves etc.
That didn't apply to me. It also said the evaporative system must be stock, which it was, but he still didn't smog me. He considered my addition to be a modification, which it is not. I can now put it back on. |
